Well I had a mini epic weekend. Friday I was feeling the sewing vibe so I got down and dirty with some hand stitching. Now I know it looks like nothing, but this took me hours. My stitching is horribly uneven, my lines are wonky, and I am thinking I might need to change the colour pattern, but look!! I did embroidery!

I hope you're suitably impressed, because I was up till sunrise with this. I averaged about 45 minutes each. That includes unpicking time, because I finished my second triangle and realised I'd done the inside stitching in the wrong direction so it had to come out and get done again.

Now there's no way I could get this finished before tomorrows next lesson, but at least I've started.

I could have kept going on this today, but I was in the mood for my machine. So I started my giant swoon. So far I'm really happy with my colour choices. I may not have bought enough of my white fabrics, only because I've made a couple of mistakes. We'll see how we go and I might a)unpick or b) buy more fabric. Let's be honest, I'm lazy enough that b is more likely. But cross our fingers, I won't need to and there'll be enough already bought.

Anyway, just thought you'd like to see my progress.
Off to bed now. See you all on Let's Get Acquainted Monday.

A weekend mission

I have a mission.

I will get some quilting done this weekend.  I know that is a ridiculously broad goal, but I also have a baby shower and a birthday party to go to. And of course, these two events are right in the middle of the day, so they're going to eat into my sewing time in a major way.

But I will sew!!

I need to get my sew on!
