Time away = catch up
Oh my goodness, I had no computer for a week, and then was hectically busy for a couple of days and by the time I got back to my page I had several thousand posts to catch up on. I have spent the last two days attempting to catch up on all the quilty goodness I missed.
I admit I also discovered Pintrest, which is my new addiction. I spent hours trolling through all the quilt/craft goodness. And the home decor!! Oh, I am in love! If you want to fins me, I think I managed to added the pinny thing to my sidebar or hunt for QuinnyQuilts (that's me!)
So what with one thing and another I have not blogged, but worse... I have not sewed. That's right, not a patch in sight. I have made a coupe of differnt attempts at doing some quilting, but I'm just not feeling it.
I betta get a move on though, because I have Christmas presents to make. And me being the slightly crazy person that I am decided that I would make TWO single bed quilts and a QUEEN SIZE quilt... and I haven't actually started any of these. Three weeks is heaps of time, right????
xx
And I hope you are all checking out the Small Blog Meet!! It is for all of us out here in blog land with fewer than 50 followers. If you haven't been there yet, you should. It's what this blogging community thing is all about!
Hi Erin. Had wondered where you were. Are you feeling ok?
ReplyDeletePinterest is my downfall so I dare not go there too often! I can't believe it 's only 3 weeks til christams and I haven't made any of the stuff I was going to either. 3 quilts in 3 weeks will be a breeze ;) Nothing better than a deadline to get your bottom into gear!
I promise you I can feel the deadline! Hopefully I can get things finished enough to be able to give, even if they're not perfectly perfectly finished.
DeleteI'm fine, don't worry about me. :-) Will be back into it and have some makes this week, I hope.
Now I'm off to hunt you down on Pintrest! Lol

Rest and enjoy your cross stitch Erin, hope all's well.

Thanks, F. I'm itching to get back to my sewing, but then I sit down at the machine and lose all energy to quilt. I'm sure the crazy quilt zeal will hit me when I least expect it.

Hi Erin. The holidays have really cut into my sewing time also! But, I've done a lot of "thinking" about what to sew once I have the chance.....maybe today. I found you through the small blog meet...such a wonderful way to "see" others!
ReplyDeleteHi Nina! Welcome :-) I love the Small Blog Meet. It's the best idea ever!
DeleteAs far as this thinking time business - it's defiantely a neccessary part of the quilting process :-)
Pinterest - the death of finishing projects! lol I've been strong and not joined yet. Do plenty of looking around though...
ReplyDeleteI did really well at not joining for ages and then I wanted to see ONE thing... Now I'm addicted. So many gorgeous quilts/blocks/inspirations...
Delete!!! and I thought my 'to do' list for Christmas was bad !!! Good luck and enjoy your day :)
ReplyDeletelol. We're probably all as bad as each other. I'm just reading the wrong blogs - the ones with all the fancy finishes!
DeleteIt's not over til Christmas Eve, right!
Ahhhhh!!! Erin!!! I fell the same as you - so much to do... I think if you find your quilting mojo you can totally bang out those quilts. Thanks for posting about the small blog meet - off to check it out.
ReplyDeleteIt's all about the mojo isn't it! Right I will make it my mission for tonight and the weekend to mojo it up and get sewing!
DeleteGood luck in getting your quilts made in the next 3 weeks!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Karen. Fingers crossed my mojo comes back soon! :-)
