Finally a finish (even if it is a little one)

Yes I know, I disappeared off the face of the internet! But life got in the way, so I'm not apologising, I'm just going to pretend like I was here the whole time :-)

I have a little finish to share with you. A teeny tiny finish.

Back in November I was on bed rest for a week, and I needed something to do. So I started some cross stitch. I enjoyed it. I got to work on another, bigger cross stitch project. And then time ticked away...

I was working on it! I swear I was. Not consistently. Not with any hint of regularity. But I would pick it up, potter away and then put it down and forget it for a week. Or two. Or ten.

But this week. I have finally finished! I haven't washed it, or blocked it and I have no idea what I'm going to do with it now, but it is finished.

And I love it :-).

Alphabet Owl Cross Stitch

I think my little owls are too cute.

And I love that it is super colourful and bright and cheerful. And I have plans to make another. Although it will be a more muted, grown up version for my study. Without the alphabet and numbers and with a cute inspirational saying. I have the thread already :-)

Of course I should finish my other billion half done projects first...

  1. Oh this is just gorgeous! I have done many a cross stitch in my time and I know just how long it takes. This must have taken ages! But it was SO worth it. Glad to have you back :-)

    1. Some of it came together so quickly, and then there were sections that I just dithered and took forever to do. I'm really pleased with it though.
(and its nice to be back :-D)

    1. I'm not sure of the brand, I picked it up at the local Spotlight. I'll look into it for you and make sure I put something up about it. :-) e

  6. Is there a place where I can buy this pattern? My daughter is having a girl in October and she is doing her room in owls and I would love to make this as her birth announcement.
