FAL 2014 - Quarter 1 list
Ok, I have succumbed. I have watched all the lists being written and seen the prizes being offered and I just couldn't help it! You've got to be in it to win it, right! And I have so many WIPs hanging about from last year...
*I want to finish my Carpenters Wheel.
This quarter I want to:
*Finish my sewing machine cover
*... And matching mat...
*Create (and finish) something for the Radiant Orchid challenge. (Come back tomorrow, to see what I've pulled.)
*I want to finish my Carpenters Wheel.
I do have a thousand other things I want to work on, and a bajillion things I want to start, but I think 5 is a pretty reasonable challenge (particularly since three of those need quilting and binding...)
Wish me luck!

While I'm here I'm going to link to Lee and WIP Wednesday... even though it's Thursday :-)
I'm so intrigued the radiant orchid thing, but I'm making myself stay away, even though I so so so want to start something. (There are thoughts in my head on the subject, but they're just going to have to stay there...)
ReplyDeleteBest of luck with the goals :D I haven't started any of my January goals yet. Maybe tomorrow?
I wasn't going to set any goals - I was just going ot fly by the seat of my pants and sew as the spirit takes me - but there are some good prizes up for grabs, so I thought, why not!! I don't have to finish anything, but if I do I could win something!! These are stakes I like. :-D
DeleteYou should totally do the radient orchid challenge!!!! the percolaty ideas are always the best ones :-)

I have several quilts I need to quilt and bind before Feb. 15th. One I need to start from scratch too. I have been getting busy, but there doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day!
ReplyDeleteI know!! By the time I get home from the actual "job" there's not time for the fun bits. You're more ambitious than me, though. I'm giving myself all of February to acheive my list.

Love set of projects! Your penny patch has a beautiful pull of fabrics!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Cindy. I have actually pulled more fabrics to add to this pile. I think the quilt is going to end up the size of a house! lol

You've reminded me that I need to make a carry case for the Baby Brother machine I have. Sigh. There's so much more I could do if my day job didn't interfere. However, since it pays the bills & I still get some time to play, we'll keep it. ;-) Love the carpenter's wheel too. I did one a long time again. Must drag out those pictures again & revisit. Lovely colours for the Penny Patch too. Looking forward to seeing what you've chosen for the radiant orchid challenge (I'm a lurker, not a participant!)

Thanks, Elita. The sewing machine cover I'm making is super simple!! It's basically just a rectangle that I've added ties to the side of. It's just to try to keep the dust off it.
DeleteI know what you mean about the job - if only soemone would pay me to stay hoe and potter around my sewing room.

Totally do-able, good luck! :o)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Katy. We'll see how I go. The little ones I'm confident about. The big ones, are definitely maybes :-)

Go Erin! Not too much on your list lol. Your carpenters wheel looks amazing! Bring it to the next meet??
ReplyDeleteI absolutely will! I pieced the back at the last (December) meeting, so time to get it basted :-/. At least there are big open spaces at the Hub :-)

Thats a really good list! I've been away from blogland for quite a while…how much have you to do on your penny patch?? Looking forward to seeing what you come up with for the Radiant Orchid challenge. Sarah x
ReplyDeleteI've missed you!! I have all the cutting done on my Penny Patch, but then I wanted more cream so needed to buy more and haven't got that cut up yet, so still have a tonne to do on it. But it's on the list, so I will work on it and we'll see how I go. I am going to keep the back as simple as I can in the hopes of actually getting it finished :-)
